Summer Program
Upward Bound conducts a six-week summer program where students attend classes at Feather River College.
Our students participate in a wide variety of academic, cultural, social, and recreational activities during the summer program, which allows them to experience different aspects of college life while still in high school. Our summer program includes courses in math, English, science, foreign language, and student leadership. Students begin the summer with a leadership camp and will also attend a trip to explore different college campuses at the end of the summer program.
Stipends
Upward Bound participants who attend all advisor/tutoring meetings and Saturday Academies will receive $40 per month throughout the academic year. Participants can also receive $60 per month while participating in the summer program.
Internship Program
Students with the highest attendance in the summer program are eligible to intern in a field related to their career interests and can earn up to $300 for their participation. Internships are subject to availability but serve as a great experience for our students.
