Enjoy our Comprehensive Benefits Package
As a new or current benefit-eligible employee of Feather River College, you have access to a comprehensive set of benefits during open enrollment/life status changes.
Open Enrollment & Life Status Change Information
You can enroll in or make changes to your benefits each year during Open Enrollment period.
However, certain life events—such as marriage, divorce, or the birth/adoption of a child—may qualify you for a Qualified Status Change, allowing you to adjust your benefits outside of the Open Enrollment period. If you experience a Qualified Status Change, you have 30 calendar days from the date of the event to make changes.
For questions regarding life status changes, please contact our Benefits Human Resource office at hr@frc.edu
Health Care Benefits
You have the opportunity to enroll in one of our five Preferred Provider (PPO) plans—please refer to the TCSIG "Benefits at a Glance" flyer to compare options and choose the plan that best fits you and your family. For all information regarding TCSIG and additional details, please visit their website at www.tcsig.com.
Dental Benefits
TCSIG members can now compare Delta Dental and Ameritas networks to choose the best option for their dental needs and those of their dependents. Use the Find a Provider option for Delta Dental or Ameritas to find the right fit for you.
Vision Benefits
Feather River College provides vision benefits through Vision Service Plan (VSP).
Flexible Spending Account
A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) allows you to set aside money from your paycheck to pay for Health Care and Dependent Care expenses with tax-free dollars. These plans are administered by American Fidelity and operate on a calendar-year basis, renewing every January 1. By contributing to an FSA, your pre-tax contributions help reduce your taxable income.
Health Savings Account (HSA)
If you are enrolling in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), you may be eligible to open a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for eligible medical, dental, and/or vision expenses on a pre-tax basis.
Important Note: HSAs have complex rules regarding eligibility, contributions, and expense reimbursement. Failure to meet these requirements may result in federal and state tax penalties. It’s recommended that you consult with a tax advisor regarding your specific situation. IRS Publication 969 is also a helpful resource.
Retirement Options
A 403(b) or 457(b) plan allows you to save for retriement. Your contributions are voluntary, and you can select the amount that aligns with your retirement goals. For detailed information on your employer’s plan design, please refer to Tax Deferred Solutions (TDS). To find the correct Salary Reduction Agreement (SRA) form, you can either visit FRC's Human Resources department or go to the employee forms section on the website.
The Anthem Blue Cross Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is here to support you and your household members in meeting life's challenges. Explore our range of services, available at no cost to you:
