Metallic Nitrogen, aka “Nitro,” is a 3-year-old, 14.3 hh gelding who is personable, smart, and extremely willing to please. He shows impressive drive and athleticism in anything asked of him, and you can always count on him to give you his all. Nitro’s extremely smooth gaits and beautiful red roan coloring will have him stand out in any show pen. His grandsire, Metallic Cat, is the infamous 57-million-dollar sire with NCHA earnings of over $635,000. On Nitro’s bottom side, his dam, Pink Nitro Glycerine has won over $32,000 in NRCHA earnings. With his first-class pedigree, Nitro would excel in the showpen whether it is in the cutting, versatility, or cowhorse events.

A little bit about the student
Sheyanne Houck is from Oroville, California. She came to FRC in the Fall of 2022 and will graduate with her Bachelor's degree in Equine and Ranch management in the Fall of 2026. Sheyanne has a passion for training young horses, and her future career goals include working under a successful training facility in the reining or cowhorse industry with the hopes of managing her own. Sheyenne’s best memory at FRC was being a part of the collegiate colt starting team! She says, "FRC's equine classes have helped me grow tremendously as a horsewoman."
