Concerns, Complaints, Disputes, and Appeals
Academic Accommodation Appeal Process
Academic accommodations recommended by DSPS can be appealed by either the student or by the instructor of the course for which the accommodation has been recommended. Please contact the DSPS Director to receive information about the appeal process.
Dispute Resolution
DSPS Service Delivery Complaints or Concerns
All attempts should be made to informally resolve DSPS service delivery complaints or concerns. Complaints should be made directly to the Director of the DSPS program. If a reasonable solution to the complaint cannot be reached, the student may initiate a complaint with the College's Chief Student Services Officer or the ADA/504 Coordinator.
Discrimination Complaints or Concerns
Students are encouraged to work directly with faculty and staff, including meeting with department chairs or directors, in an effort to resolve concerns informally. If a reasonable solution to the complaint cannot be reached, or if the student would prefer assistance with finding an appropriate resolution, please contact the DSPS Director.
