Welcome to the Child Development Center!
The Feather River College Child Development Center provides a nurturing and engaging learning environment for preschool age children. The developmentally appropriate curriculum focuses on children’s cognitive, physical, and social emotional experiences through play based curriculum. Our teachers are all credentialed through Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Our program holds two state contracts and is funded through CA Department of Education and Department of Social Services.
Tuition rates are on a sliding fee schedule and are based on your family's gross monthly income. To check if your family qualifies for state subsidized tuition rates, please visit the Family Fee Schedule. Contact our office if you have any questions or need assistance to find out if you qualify.
Our Center provides care for children ages 2-5 years old. We serve FRC students as well as community members. Our enrollment priority is low-income families, students, and working parents. We also have several over-income slots available each year.
We serve children and their families during Feather River College's academic calendar year. Our Center is open Monday through Friday, from August 22 - May 31.
- Toddler classroom hours: 8:15 a.m. - 2:45 p.m.
- Preschool classroom hours: 7:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
The CDC does follow FRC’s Academic Calendar, which means we will have seasonal closures. Access the current calendar here for the 2023-24 school year.
