UPWARD BOUND SUMMER DIGITAL MARKETING INSTRUCTOR Temporary, Certificated, Part-Time The Feather River College Upward Bound Program is seeking applications for instructors for the summer component. The Upward Bound program is a federally funded educational opportunity program designed to generate the skills and motivation necessary for success in education beyond high school. The program annually serves 56 students from four high schools. We are seeking instructors for language arts (literature and composition), and digital marketing (utilizing our IPad lab). Upward Bound’s philosophy is that integrated learning is essential to future success; therefore, it is vital that the digital media instructor develop curriculum that allows students to utilize the IPads in an engaging way. The dates for the 2013 summer instruction component are June 17th through July 26th excluding the week of July 1st through 5th. If hired, you will be required to attend a 2 hour staff training the first week of June.   RESPONSIBILITES Instructors are responsible for developing high school level Digital Marketing curricula utilizing IPads and teaching approximately 45 minutes per day (Monday -Thursday). In addition, all instructors are required to attend one staff training prior to the start of the summer program and submit lesson plans.   QUALIFICATIONS Applicants must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and have knowledge/experience in the subject area. Teaching experience and/or prior experience working with teenagers is preferred.
