Exemptions from Matriculation Processes
Students have the right to waive participation in the following matriculation processes if they meet the exemption criteria for the process.
Orientation:

Have completed an AA/AS degree or higher degree

Have completed a previous college orientation
-
Enrolling in activity or contract instruction courses.
Assessment:
-
Have completed an AA/AS degree or higher degree
-
Provide test scores that comply with college adopted equivalencies
-
Enrolling only in courses that have no skill level prerequisite
-
Have completed course work at another college equivalent to Math 016 (Elementary Algebra) and or English 101 (college level reading and composition) with a grade of "C” or better
-
Taking contract instruction courses
Advising/Counseling:
-
Have completed an AA/AS degree or higher degree
-
Enrolling in less than six units with no English or math courses
-
Not pursing a degree or certificate
-
Enrolling in activity courses only
